 Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to announce his resignation as leader of the Liberal Party, possibly as early as today. 














This development follows mounting pressure from within his party, particularly after the resignation of Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland last month over economic policy disagreements. 


Additionally, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's recent announcement of plans to impose substantial tariffs on Canadian products has intensified political challenges for












 Trudeau's administration. 


Trudeau's anticipated resignation comes ahead of a national caucus meeting scheduled for Wednesday. It remains unclear whether he will step down immediately or continue as prime minister until a new leader is elected. 


Trudeau has served as Canada's prime minister since 2015, leading the Liberal Party through multiple elections and significant national events.
